Donate to The Diatribe
Each month in 2024, we are collecting donations to send to charitable organizations and causes in the US. To donate, select the amount you wish to contribute and add this product to your cart. Acaia will publicly provide proof of donations when they are sent to the organization. Collections for The Diatribe will continue through the end of August, 2024. Acaia will also match $50 in donations for this period.
In their own words:
The Diatribe uses restorative art to disrupt historical systems of oppression by reimagining education, holistically honoring the community through our approach to our work and creating an unapologetic vision for liberation that is accessible to all.
The 49507 Project is a Black, Brown, Queer, and youth-led project rooted in collaboration to help make truly Public Art steered by the community where these pieces will live. This community art will utilize artists that are a reflection of those who have been underserved in the 49507 neighborhood.
The Diatribe offers free summer programming each year in both Grand Rapids and Muskegon. 5th-12th graders have the opportunity to work with talented Grand Rapids and Muskegon teaching artists, exploring creativity and gaining tools for self-expression and self advocacy as they work on developing their poetic skills. They also offer several free downloadable courses for classrooms or after school programs.
The Diatribe also offers Deluxe Assemblies which bring radical vulnerability, high-energy story telling, and entertainment to the stage for entire school populations.
